Business Development Strategy 3: Driving Implementation

Tutor: Andrew Hedley  CPD Hours: 30 hours  Duration: 2 - 3 months

Course Cost: £995

SRA Ref: DQX/DIPA     Course Grade: Advanced

Introduction

The third in a series of three that will enable participants to create and implement highly effective business development and marketing strategies.

Creating a stretching but achievable Business Development & Marketing strategy which will deliver sustainable competitive advantage in itself will not deliver success.

Implementation is key. An average strategy well implemented will deliver much more benefit to the firm than a truly groundbreaking one which cannot pass muster when it comes to delivery on the ground.

This final course in the trilogy focuses on effective implementation and the sort of change management techniques which are often necessary to bring about enduring strategic change.

Beginning with a consideration by candidates of how they will drive engagement in the strategy implementation across their firm and all stakeholders, the course will enable them to fully consider all relevant implementation issues and make active choices in terms of priorities, budgets and resources in order to create a measurable action plan.

Business Benefits & Solutions

This course will help you to resolve these typical business problems:

  • How to be effective in strategy implementation.
  • Managing the change processes implicit in implementation of a new strategy.
  • Ensuring good communication – both internal and external.
  • Prioritisation of limited resources and effective project planning.
  • Measuring success.

Course Aims

This course will give you a clear understanding of the challenges of strategy implementation and will introduce a number of the tools and techniques which will increase the probability of implementation success. The course will encourage delegates to consider the project management issues in any implementation programme and to make active choices concerning prioritisation, budgets, resources and acceptable outcomes.

By the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Evaluate the strategic priorities which any implementation programme must consider.
  • Create an integrated project plan looking at all implementation streams and against which resources and budgets can be allocated.
  • Articulate an implementation plan set against a timeline and with clear targets against which progress can be measured.
  • Manage the change process using an industry leading approach.
  • Ensure that clear communication supports the implementation process.
