Business Development Strategy 2: Where Next? Strategy & Choice
Tutor: Andrew Hedley CPD Hours: 38 hours Duration: 2 -3 months
Course Cost: £995
The second in a series of three that will enable participants to create and implement highly effective business development and marketing strategies.
Making choices about what to do (and what not to do) lies at the heart of strategy. Participants will be encouraged to evaluate the options for development open to them in an objective and critical way in order to arrive at the best options for their firm given its competitive position, client opportunities and core skills.
Using a framework for the evaluation of their range of options, participants will be encouraged to make choices based on likely return on investment, market size, competitive mix and prioritisation of limited resources.
The creation of an actionable Business Development & Marketing Strategy in which stretching objectives are set and measures of success agreed up-front will conclude this course.
This course will help you to resolve these typical business problems:
- Given our current position, what options are available to us in terms of our strategic choices?
- How do we choose between competing alternatives?
- What are the implications for our firm of making a particular choice or set of choices?
- What changes will be needed as a result of the path that we have chosen and how do we put this process in place?
This course will allow you to develop a framework for understanding better the strategic options open to your firm and making choices which maximise these opportunities.
- Map out the options available to your firm.
- Evaluate these options based on your competitive assessment which was the output of Part One of the Business Development & Marketing Strategy course.
- Understand the implications of the choices that you make on the firm from a number of perspectives.
- Arrive at a set of preferred choices which will form the framework for your strategy.
