Developing a Learning Organisation to Effect Culture Change
Tutor: Fiona Westwood CPD Hours: 25 hours Duration: 3-6 months
Course Cost: £1395
This practical work based course is designed to allow your firm to effect culture change. It focuses on tackling culture change through leading and managing people especially at a time when morale and motivation is at a low ebb. All professional firms are dependant on their people to deliver high quality consistent services to their clients, yet the current economic climate is causing rapid and unexpected changes in the way lawyers work and the level of quality work available. This course covers the challenges of leading and managing professionals as well as identifying the key actions needed to effect successful culture change. It will allow you to review the range of leadership, managing people and change management techniques that are available, select those most appropriate to your firm and present your findings to your partners to agree which to adopt.
This course forms part of the series of courses on Effecting Successful Culture Change and will help you to resolve these typical business problems:
- Low morale and motivation.
- Lack of understanding of the role of leadership and management.
- Resistance to effect change of work practices across the firm.
- Unwillingness to take personal responsibility.
- Operating with a blame culture with people unwilling to ask for help.
- Problems with rigidity of thinking and refusal to develop new ways of working.
This course on Effecting Successful Culture Change will give you a comprehensive understanding of the range of models that are available to successfully effect culture change. It will allow you to identify those most directly relevant to your firm and in applying them, develop and agree a formal Action Plan to effect cultural change. It will also enable you to consult with and directly involve all the key stakeholders as well as identify your current barriers to change and agree solutions to them.
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Analyse and select the leadership and management style that suits you and your firm.
- Analyse and select the appropriate change agent model.
- Formalise the operational challenges you face in relation to your people management.
- Involve key stakeholders in agreeing a formal Action Plan that includes the barriers to change, the solutions to these and resources and timescales.
