FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where are our files audited?

The most cost effective way is for files to be audited at our offices on the outskirts of Chester.

Whilst at our office, all files are kept in a secure environment.

How are files delivered?

We are a DX exchange. We have very favourable rates with the DX for return of your files. Alternatively you can use a courier service.

Can you work at our offices?

Yes, we are happy to carry out our services at your premises though it should be borne in mind that this may mean increased costs. Please call to discuss your requirements.

What about confidentiality?

We view confidentiality in exactly the same way as solicitors view solicitor/client confidentiality. We provide you with a confidentiality agreement. All our staff are bound by confidentiality agreements.

When was Distinctive Partnerships formed?

2003. Since then we have audited many 1000’s of files for 100’s of firms of solicitors.

Who works on the files?

Our team, all of whom have extensive experience in practice as solicitors across a variety of disciplines.

What can we audit?

We audit or review to your own standards or work with you in developing bespoke criteria specific to your practice.

How long does the audit take?

We aim to audit, report and return files within 1 week. We advise our clients 3 weeks before the audit due date so files can be collated and sent to us ready to start. We provide an express service in certain circumstances.

How many files, how often?

It is important that a statistically sound sample of files are audited. Our experience tells us 3 files per fee earner per quarter is typical. It is also key to audit a number of files at the same time for any one fee earner to identify behavioural trends rather than a single human error.

Do you only work with solicitors?

Yes.

Our service is tailored to your own specific requirements. At DP we don’t believe one size fits all
