Mergers & Acquisitions 1: Building the Business Case

Tutor: Andrew Hedley  CPD Hours: 26 hours  Duration: 3 months

Course Cost: £995

SRA Ref: DQX/DIPA     Course Grade: Advanced

Introduction

The first of three in a series which will help participants to chart a successful route through a merger or acquisition process.

Long range economic indicators suggest that consolidation amongst firms will be a significant force driving change in the legal sector over the coming years.

This course equips law firm leaders with the knowledge needed to create a strategic business case for a merger or acquisition which will allow them to articulate the logic which suggests the merger route as the most appropriate option for their firm.

Acceptance of this business case is also the signal for a process of identifying and benchmarking potential merger candidates. This will be done on the basis of objective criteria which will enable the firm to achieve its ambitions. This course provides the tools by which this process can be undertaken and allows participants to create their own bespoke assessment model and documentation.
