Introduction

This is the first in a series of three practical work-based courses designed to enable you to create a Vision and Strategy bespoke to your personal business requirements. The courses focus on the three building blocks needed to develop and agree a formal business strategy – market analysis, a vision of the way forward and the strategic option that fits the marketplace, your resources and goals. It will therefore allow you to create an agreed written strategic plan for the firm that includes market analysis, a vision and development choice, as well as key actions, required resources and agreed timescales.

This first course allows you to carry out a detailed analysis of the marketplace and present a written report on the opportunities and threats facing the firm to its key stakeholders.

  • Apply them to comprehensively analyse the external marketplace.
  • Identify the opportunities and threats facing your firm and present a detailed Market Analysis Report to your firm.
