CPD Business Skills Courses
The courses are designed to help an individual develop skills through tackling a work problem with support from a knowledgeable and experienced tutor who will provide tuition on a 1 to 1 basis.
The majority of tutors are former solicitors and all have practical experience of working with law firms.
Introductory courses priced from £495 are available upon request.
Taking a course – what to expect
Once you have completed the application form we will arrange your initial telephone tutorial with the course tutor. You will also receive the course documentation pack.
The first telephone tutorial is where you and your tutor will discuss your particular business issues and your desired target or outcome. An important element of all these courses is that they are bespoke to suit each individual’s work circumstances.
During each course you will have access to your tutor by telephone tutorials at key intervals, thus providing technical guidance and support at appropriate times.
As part of the course you will be carrying out work related activities in your Firm. During each course, you will, from time to time be asked to submit documents to your tutor for assessment. These will be directly relevant to the business issues for which the solutions are required.
CPD Hours
All courses will qualify for CPD hours provided you complete the course programme. If your course spans more than one CPD year, DP can confirm your qualifying hours at the end of the CPD year, based on where you are in the course programme.
Course Cost
All course prices are exclusive of VAT.
Courses Grade – Advanced
These courses are intended for Managing Partners, Partners, aspiring Partners, Departmental Managers or Team Leaders who have a responsibility for client service delivery.
Qualification criteria
Solicitors will be expected to have completed Management Course Stage 1. These courses are also relevant to those who have a management role within the Firm.
